A fashion marketing manager plans and implements the best ways of promoting your brands products and services. Their aim is to increase awareness and sales. It is a varied role which can combine advertising, events, public relations, digital, product & website development, sponsorship and promotions.
The work is often challenging and fast-paced, combining creative and analytical thinking. This role suits people who are organised and love communicating messages and ideas whilst working with others.
A Marketing Manager may spend the morning briefing creative production for a fashion ad, e-newsletter or in-store promotional poster, ensuring the right images and products are included and key messages clearly communicated.
They may also liaise with suppliers to organise an event or printing of materials, write copy and co-ordinate photo shoots.
Michelle Attmore, Marketing Manager, Hunter.
"I started my career at Arcadia Group as a Marketing Assistant, before moving to become Marketing Executive at Giorgio Armani. I worked for Armani for five years, becoming a manager after two years. I have recently moved to a new role as Marketing Manager for Hunter Boots. Working in a marketing department offers many great opportunities, and I love the challenge of balancing creative ideas with strategic planning."
