Students raise over £900 in Fashion Retail Academy X TRAID Pop-Up
“How can the fashion industry become more sustainable?”
Our Unit 10 & 11, Level 2 Fashion Retail Environments and Fashion Futures students tackled one of the biggest issues concerning the fashion industry today. Second to oil, fashion and textiles is the most polluting industry in the world. Their solution to the problem was the launch of the TRAID x FRA Pop-Up event.
The students collaborated with TRAID, a chain of charity shops dedicated to raising awareness, reducing clothing wastage and funding international development projects.
The students worked hard to collect donations, advertise, sell and create an amazing experience for all the shoppers. The aim was not only to collect donations but also to inform their audience of the importance of sustainability, ethics and the environment within the fashion retail industry.
Across the 4 days of the Fashion Retail Academy X TRAID Pop-Up, the students raised a total of £908.08. We could not be prouder of their achievement!
