In 2024, the Fashion Retail Academy moved into its new campus, the Grade II-listed Electra House, conveniently located close to Liverpool Street in the heart of central London. Benefitting from a £50m state-of-the-art fitout, Electra House boasts a stunning period setting complete with modern AV setup, concierge service and more to host your event, conference or meeting.

We offer a number of flexible event spaces and meeting rooms to hire in Central London, ranging from our beautiful domed Boardroom for up to 14 people, to the Library for receptions and launch events which can host up to 200 people.

Showspace
Conveniently located on the ground floor of Electra House, the Showspace is a flexible and open space with beautiful period features, a state-of-the-art AV setup and its own private outdoor courtyard. The Showspace is a blank canvas that can be transformed to fit your requirements, offering an ideal venue for parties, launch events, press and PR events, and even catwalk shows (staging at additional cost).

Boardroom
At the very top of Electra House is the beautiful domed Boardroom, boasting views across the rooftops of the City of London. Hosting up to 14 people for a seated meeting around the central table, the space also features informal seating areas for more relaxed discussions. The Boardroom is equipped with full video meeting functionality.

Training Suites
Our four sixth-floor classrooms have been designed specifically with training sessions in mind, featuring interactive screens and video meeting capabilities to bring learning to life. Each room can seat between 13 and 31 people classroom-style. Some rooms feature quirky period details, such as the preserved original fireplaces and pitched ceilings dating from the early 20th century when the top floor was staff accommodation.

Staff Room
With a mixture of comfortable banquettes, sofas and armchair seating as well as tables, chairs and breakfast bars for dining, our large Staff Room offers a great breakout area for conferences and similar events. Complete with food prep space, cutlery and crockery, filtered cold and boiling water on tap and a top-of-the-range coffee machine, it’s the ideal relaxation space.

Fashion Design Studio
Available for short-term hire, our Fashion Design Studio features industry-standard pattern cutting tables and industrial sewing machines to help you bring your creative vision to life. The machine room can seat up to 48 machinists at a time, while the pattern cutting floor has capacity for 180 people. Please note no fabrics or haberdashery are supplied.

Library
At the heart of Electra House on the third floor is the space affectionately known as the COG – the Centre of Gravity – comprising our custom-designed library, Secret Garden and café seating area. All areas can be booked separately for small drinks receptions, or hired together for larger events such as book launches or signings. The café can be opened on request (minimum spend applies).

Lecture Theatres
Our six purpose-designed lecture theatres offer the ideal space for conferences, film screenings, product launches and more. Ranging in capacity from 50 to 110, some theatres feature fixed banked seating with integrated desks, while others have configurable theatre-style seating. All lecture theatres have large interactive screens and full AV capability.

All of our spaces are available for off-peak and weekend hire for a minimum of half a day, and we can offer favourable rates for long contract periods.

How to get here
Electra House is well-located in Central London, opposite Moorgate underground station and a five-minute walk from Liverpool Street underground and mainline station. It is also close to Bank underground station and easily accessible from other mainline rail stations including Kings Cross, St. Pancras, Euston, Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo.
Parking facilities are available nearby for both delegates and deliveries.
