Overview
This one-day intensive course is a practical insight into the what, how and why of the analysis methods and statistics that are commonly used by retailers to maximise retail commercial success. You’ll receive an introduction to the calculations commonly used within retail buying and merchandising departments and on the shop floor.
Taught at the Fashion Retail Academy campus by an industry expert, you’ll learn through a combination of theory, discussion and practical examples. Drawing on the skills and experience of the expert tutor, the content is structured around real-life scenarios to put your learning into context.
By the end of this course, you’ll have developed a good understanding of retail maths, the formulas used, and the key performance metrics used in retail. This course will show you that retail and business maths doesn’t have to be complex and difficult, providing you with a good foundation of knowledge for your current or future role.
TUTOR
Claire Morris has years of experience in merchandise planning, working with products ranging from clothing to homewares. She has become a specialist in optimising spreadsheets and systems to support efficient, high-quality sales, profit and stock planning. She has worked with many well-known retail brands (such as Ernest Jones and Fenwick) and continues to consult for retailers globally.
