Overview
This short course in Personal Styling, taught over four days at the Fashion Retail Academy campus, focuses on the principles of personal styling and how to create signature looks.
You’ll learn about body mapping, fabric, fit and finish, as well as how to use colour and understand optical illusions. You’ll also understand trends, and who wears what and why. This course is a great introduction if you are thinking about a career in personal shopping or styling, or if you want to create your own signature style.
By the end of the course, you'll be able to style both yourself and others. You could go onto further study, set up your own business or use your skills in a retail setting as a personal shopper.
TUTOR
Polly Holman has been a personal stylist for the last 30 years, combining working in the private client market with lecturing in London and Dubai. She has a unique insight into the global styling market, and has created an in depth training programme, for aspiring personal and commercial stylists, as well as buyers and designers.
