Diploma Students Visit Vogue's Inventing the Runway Exhibition

At the Fashion Retail Academy, we believe real-world experiences are an important part of learning – especially in the fashion industry. That’s why some of our Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 Diploma students recently visited Inventing the Runway, an immersive Vogue Exhibition at the Lightroom in King’s Cross. 

Inside the Exhibition

Inventing the Runway showed the transformation of fashion shows over the decades, from exclusive, intimate events to the high-impact, creative performances they are today. 

Students were immersed in an inspiring experience that brought the runway to life through animations, music and floor-to-ceiling visuals projected across four-storey-high walls. They also had the chance to see iconic looks from some of the world’s most influential names like Burberry, Chanel, Balenciaga, Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.

About Our Diplomas

We offer courses at Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4, designed to suit different interests and stages of your journey.

• Level 2 Fashion Retail is great for those aged 16-18 who are getting started in the fashion industry. It helps students explore both creative and business roles, and prepares them for Level 3 or an apprenticeship.
• Level 3 diplomas are equivalent to 3 A Levels, and are 100% coursework based (no exams). Students can choose from fashion retail, fashion design or visual communications & styling.
• Level 4 diplomas are for students aged 18+. These are equivalent to the first year of university and are ideal for fast-tracking into the industry. Subjects include fashion buying, garment technology, digital marketing, visual merchandising, fashion retail with marketing and fast-track buying & merchandising.

We also offer undergraduate degrees and a postgraduate course.
