Our BA (Hons) Marketing Communication for Fashion degree is designed to give you the practical skills and real-world experience you need to launch a career in the fashion industry. With a focus on hands-on projects and industry enrichment opportunities, you'll graduate ready to progress straight into employment.

Hands-On Projects

As a part of this course, you'll take on exciting challenges that mirror the work you'll be doing when you enter the industry. One recent project involved students creating a brand extension by pairing a high-end, UK fashion brand, like Stella McCartney or Alexander McQueen, with a well-known name in entertainment, such as Disney or Fortnite. The goal was to design a collaboration that appeals to Gen Z audiences in the UK.

Project process

Students started by choosing a fashion brand and entertainment partner. They researched trends, studied what the Gen Z audience resonate with and explored creative opportunities. Based on their findings, they created a concept that blended the identities of both brands and reflected Gen Z values and interests.

The next step was to develop a marketing plan that included ideas for digital campaigns, social media and ways to make the project sustainable. Finally, students brought their ideas to life through visuals like mood boards, sketches and digital designs.

student approach

One standout project was 'Blossoms of Valour' by BA (Hons) Marketing & Communication for Fashion student, Amy Rafno. She designed a collaboration between Disney and Alexander McQueen, creating a collection that combined Disney's magic with McQueen's boldness. Her work showed how luxury fashion can be exciting and accessible to Gen Z.
