- Learn from an industry professional
- Study at the Fashion Retail Academy, the home of fashion's next generation
Overview
Over five months, this programme will take you and your business on a journey, where you immerse yourself in the industry, the pitfalls and the opportunities.
The tutor, Emma Watkinson, and a team of experts will guide you through the development stage of your business, discussing products, trends, customer profiles, routes to market, styling, money saving tricks, sustainability, production, marketing and ultimately sales. Due to the small class sizes there will be opportunities to get feedback on your business idea.
To get the maximum benefit, you should have already started to create a fashion brand or have tested the market with your product. If you haven’t yet set up your business, you may want to consider completing our ‘Starting A Small Fashion Or Lifestyle Business’ short course first.
Every month you will have a one-day workshop as a group in London, and two online insight sessions, with industry guest speakers. The course will culminate in a ‘Dragons Den’ style panel, with a chance to pitch your business to SilkFred, and the opportunity of being included in the platform if successful.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a good understanding of what it takes to develop a successful fashion brand. You’ll be able to apply what you’ve learnt throughout the course to evolve your idea into a successful business.
