Overview
On this two-day short course, you’ll discover the role of the visual merchandiser, who is responsible for the visual presentation of a store. You’ll learn from an industry expert about their role, and the responsibilities and skills required for a career in visual merchandising.
You’ll discover the art of visual merchandising and what makes a good display. Through practical exercises and discussions, you’ll learn how to create eye-catching displays. You’ll also find out how to plan and design a window display and a shopfloor display.
By the end of this course, you’ll have learnt about visual merchandising and creating retail displays. You could go onto further study or use your new skills in your current role.
TUTOR
Keri Emmerson has been a visual merchandiser for 25 years for brands including H&M, Burberry and Harrods. She now consults in visual merchandising and interior styling, as well as working on editorials for magazines. She also works with the Fashion Retail Academy to coach and mentor new industry talent.
